Cannonbald Run 1: Sunday 21 June 2026.

On the summer solstice, race the sun from the eastern most point of England to the western most point. Leaving at sun-rise from Lowestoft Ness, head to Land's End, avoiding motorways whenever possible, about 500 miles.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.jpg

Fly out to Vegas for two weeks and hire some hogs to do a road trip along Route 66 and the South West.

Target date 2026.

Follow in the tyre tracks of Filius Fogg and Passepartout, recreating their route around the world from London to the South of Italy, across India, the USA and Ireland, all in 80 days.  Added bonus if we use the departing and arrival dates from the book ( but this would mean a different route through the USA due to bikes and snow not being best of friends). People could join for all or some of the legs. Use London-based bikes for first leg; rent/buy for India and USA.

Target date 2031.

length: 7,000 miles (could we ship the bikes back?)

time: 5 weeks

when: February/March or October/November
